which files in a folder in windows xp professional save to delete off?

under c:\windows\Temp and C:\Documents and
Settings\[log in username]\Local Settings\Temp

are files in these 2 folders save to delete off?

Hate to see files still there especially after some applications have been uninstalled
 
You can delete files in those two folders with no adverse effect. You may not be able to delete all of them. A few may be in use. So, let those be.
