Which FireWire cable?

well what plug is on the laptop and the video box? that should give you a hint 😉

I dont know what plug is on it due to the fact that i own neither

As you can tell I took the lazy ass route and posted on ATOT. You expect me to actually look on the DVR and laptop? Come on 😛

I'm not sure where the FireWire port is on the DVR (Motorola) and the laptop is still new in the box.

...you're still being quite vague. The DVR will have a 6 pin connection and your dell has a 4 pin...6pin to 4pin IEEE cable is what you need. Your lack of a model number on the DVR and moto's expert back panel views, Text, make it so I can't 100% prove it.
