Well, Everyone has now gotten onboard with Chrome and Chromium standards.

So, Firefox has even a larger mountain to now contend with to remain relevant.

The recent Chromium Consortium has had all the major players lineup behind them.

You can always try Brave for your browser.

good evening dear forum members - good day dear friends,

many thanks for the reply - and for the recommendations - and for sharing your experience.
this is very valuable.
i will have a closer look also at Lynx

BTW: great forum here - glad to be here in this place.

🙂

If you prefer gecko based browser like firefox, Librewolf is very privacy focused and I think comes preinstalled on some distros.
I personally use waterfox because it's been around a long time and I like to support the solo dev.

For chromium based browsers Brave and Vivaldi are great choices, the former more simply layed out, the latter with a lot of customization to tinker with. Brave has the best built in adblocker available and vivaldi's is being continually improved.
