Which Fans for SX1040?

What are some decent case fans for a SX1040 case. It comes with two in the back already. I want to put one of the ones in the back in the front and buy a new one for the side.

I heard Panaflo was good and quite but Im not sure if thats the right one to buy. If I buy Panaflo or some other brand.. what size do I get? I believe the ones that came with it are 80mm.

Also.. where is a good place to get them cheap.

I don't overclock so I don't need anything fancy.

Thanks

Quite frankly, my Chieftech clone of that case is doing fine for case temps with a 2 (7volt mod) fan PSU, a 7 volt mod fan blowing through the lower HD cage, and a single fan on the PSU cooler. Only a few degrees above ambient and no extra noise from those two rear fans.

I heartily agree with ChefJoe, just stick with very few fans if you're not OCing. The SX10x0 cases have very good air flow. There's no reason to just start sticking extra fans in there unless you like hearing fan noise.

Put your rig together with one stock fan in the back blowing out and one in the HDD cage in the front, blowing in and try it. Keep your eye on the temps (use Motherboard Monitor). My guess is that you'd even be able to 7-volt the 2 stock fans and still have enough cooling and less noise.

Having an empty fanholder in the rear of a sx10X0 isn't a good idea, imho, leads to short circuit circulation. Air comes in the empty grille, goes right back out thru the fan. A similar effect occurs with only one fan in the front.

The two stock rear fans on your sx are more than adequate for the vast majority of situations, and give best effect just as they are. Having the side panel opening just complicates things, it's a marketing feature.

If you want to fill all the fanholders and the side fan to achieve redundancy and direct airflow along the proper path, buy 5 of these-

NMB

These are high quality low flow fans, extremely quiet. With the two rear exhausts and the other three as intakes, airflow should be excellent while being near silent. Be sure to order whatever wiring adapters are needed at the same time. Because of the low current demand, you can use some 3 pin Y adapters from the mobo if you want.... Check your manual to be sure.....
