If you want a cheeper, and maybe quieter, the Tai Sol CGK742 is a good option

Checkout the forged Taisol C6K742092. Superb performance and it's definitely quieter.

if specialist HSF's are hard to get hold of, and you just want a basic setup, a Socket A Coolmaster would do you fine

You morons, what are you thinkin! Go with a fop32 if not overclocking or a fop38 if there is the slightest chance that you will overclock. A fop38 is loud but it works great!

The Taisol C6K742092 is hands down the best value and the quietest. If you have never had a high performance heat sink fan in a room with you, you may want to hear it first before you decide. You don't realize just how noisey it is until you are around it a while.

If you intend to oc your system to the max, the FOP32 and FOP38 from GlobalWin are state of the art. The Taisol will perform close to these, but not quite as good.

Personally, I can't stand all that noise.
