Which end of a computer molex connector is considered female?

If you look at a computer molex connector, which one is considered female?

The "Female" end has male connectors inside, and the "Male" connector has female connectors.. So which one is considered female? Do you go off of the pins or the connector?

I'd say the male would be the one with the prongs.

Weird, I would've called the part that plugs into a HDD male, since it fits inside...

LOL.. after a bit of googling, it appears that everybody is confused and interchanges it at will.

So I guess the recieving molex is a female/male and the part you plug in is male/female? lol
 
I decided to say

"Male Molex
A standard 4-pin computer power supply plug (see pinout below) you will use the +12V (yellow) and -12V (black next to yellow). For clarification, the male connector cannot be plugged into a hard drive, that would be considered female (look at the pins to differentiate)"
