I've been using an electric for about 16 years now. I currently use a rotary (Norelco) but it doesn't do as good a job as any of the foil shavers I've used.

My favorite so far was probably the panasonic wet/dry that I had.

If you're switching from a blade you have to give it at least a month before deciding to switch back. It will take your skin that long to adjust to the shave.

What will happen to my skin during that month?

I've 40+ years with electric razors. The rotary ones always seem to miss more hairs than the foil does and if you skip a day or two the rotary is out of its element. Go with a foil-type if you decide electric is for you.

It could get very sensitive and you may have to skip a day shaving. Sometimes it can give people a "shaving rash", those little bumps that go away after a while.

I'm very content with the braun sycro for $99 w/o the cleaning accessory. Been using the foil shaver for a year so far, no complaints. :)
