Which DVD-ROM for clone CD support?

Should I get the Pioneer or the Toshiba 16x DVD drive. I was leaning towards the Toshiba. I've had good luck with them in the past, but I want to make sure I can use it for clone CD features. Also, region free stuff would interest me (not much more), but I have nothing to take advantage of it now.

The only problem with the Toshiba DVD-ROMs is that they have a 2X limitation for ripping DVDs, and so I would suggest Lite-On DVD-ROM because it does not have this limitation and it can also read sub channel data.

I've already ordered the Toshiba. I will be doing a good bit of dvd ripping later I think, but I'm not sure. The comments on newegg about both drives make me happy I got the toshiba. The toshiba reviews praise the toshiba's quietness, while the liteon seems to have noise issues that I do not wish to deal with. I'd rather have a slightly slower 16x DVD drive (hey..I'm at 6x now), than to have a noisy one. Plus, one user stated clone cd images were a snap and very fast with this drive.

Thanks for all your input.

Any word on Pioneer's DVD-305S?

(please say it's good, I found out my CD-r drive is one of the 6 that isn't compatible)

My toshiba 12x Rips DVDS at 10+ MB per second with Vobdec. It usually ends up taking 10 minutes to rip a DVD, I think that is more than 2x
