I have so much file that I need to archive into cd. I have hundreds or regular CD-R cds, and I think it is time to go for DVD-R. I wonder wich DVD-R can write movies file that can be played by regular DVD ?? Most of the files I have are movies, and it would be perfect if I can compile a few movies into one DVD and played them on my dvd player.
Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

I bought a Sony Dual format burner because I wasn't sure which format worked better. I made a back up copy of a movie on a DVD-R disc and popped it into my Panasonic DVD player because it supports DVD-R Media worked perfectly then I tried it out on this old DVD player I have downstairs and it worked perfectly in it even though it doesn't support -R media. I've tested it out on many different brands and model DVD players and the -R format seems to work with almost all stand alone DVD players. I haven't tried +R media yet because I feel it's not necessary any more now that I know -R works well.
