which DVD/cd-rw combo?

I'm looking for the best DVD/cd-rw combo drive.. or the best price/performance combo drive out there...

Thanks

For price/performance, I think it would be tough to beat the Lite-On LTC-48161H since it's about as well featured as other combo drives and sits at a pretty attractive ~$55 market price (e.g. NewEgg). It reads from everything but DVDRAM, supports Mount Rainier, has better-than-average performance, and is actually a few centimeters shorter than other optical drives (nice for tight quarters).

CDRInfo's review of the Lite-On, next to an Optorite drive

My opinion is that Mt. Rainier should be stressed since the "CD only writer" market just doesn't have much more wiggle room -- if you're holding off on a DVD writer, might as well get a CD writer with Mt. Rainier support (that new Teac, for example, doesn't).
