which dv is best under 500.00?

look into panasonic dv cams, they're cheap and they seem really good

Take a look at the Sony DCR-25 and the Panasonic DV402 or 802.

i like sony dv cams and own one DCR-PC9 but it's pretty expensive.
for a budget i'd say Panasonic is a better choice.

There is a guy on HardOCP that's selling a JVC miniDV cam corder with accessories and such for 430 ?
