Which Drumset do you think is better?

I've been looking at this Mapex Pro M Maple 6-Piece(Studio Drum Set 2005 Spec) and this Mapex M Birch 6-Piece Drum Set (with Free 8" Tom)

The upsides to the "Mapex Pro M Maple 6-Piece" I believe is the fact its a Maple professional kit and retails for $1999.

The upsides of the Mapex M Birch 6-Piece Drum Set is the obvious fact that it has a free 8'' tom. The kit has an additional floor tom over the Mapex Pro.

I like them both, but I am unsure is to which one I should buy. I've been playing drums for almost three years now and want something that will last me a very long time. I've been planning this high school benefit concert with my band for over 6 months now (this is our first show). I want the kit to look good, yet i want to have a high quality drumset. By looking good everyone see's the bigger drumset as the 'badass' but I will need the quality that I'm looking for. If any of you are drummers, please lend some insight on what you think about quality vs. "how many drums I have".

Thx u'z
