I am getting a Leadtek GeForce 2 GTS 64MB and I know the 6.50 nvidia drivers are the latest, so does that mean I should use them. Also they seem to be very small in size, meaning there are only a couple of megs. Why were my voodoo 3 drivers like 8-10 MB? was that because of the #Dfx tools included with them?

Thank you very much

Yep use the latest drivers available from nVidia, 9 time out of 10 the latest is the best.

And, yes the download size is normal.

It seems like there are 10 different "latest" versions of the drivers. Which one to choose, which one to choose?

you just have to try diferrent drivers and see how they work in your system..For me the 10.80 work great in win 2k..

7.52 is a great balance of a., visual quality, b., D3D performance, and c., OpenGL performance I've found :)

3DFXman, change your name! (jk heh) 3DFX man buying a nvidia product!

As for drivers, it depends on what system you have. 6.50 are fine, 6.72 are fine also. You wont see any diff. At least not in windows98(im not sure if it has win2k added support or improvement etc..). As for 3dfx size and nvidia size drivers. Nvidia detonator drivers are reference drivers. They are just generic drivers made for all geforce(and all the rest they work with) chipsets. If you have like, lets say a Creative labs Geforce2, their geforce2 driver package is much bigger than nvidias Ref drivers. They add improvement and other things. Get drivers from your cards manufacturer, they should give you some more FPS than nvidias dets.
