I am in a $ bind. Had a problem - Though I had probs with a Ti4200 using the 71.84 nvdia drivers and then the card BSOD'd a number of times - various errors. Freaky , off and on.
Replaced the card with a X700 and during installation pulled everything apart and cleaned the box up. Found 1/2"+ of lint/dust bunnies on the front outside botom of the case. CPU was running at 70C, now at 48C after cleanup.
Would like to take the X700 back and sit on some $ and go with a 939 MB build but don't have the bucks at the moment. Need to return the X700 soon if I am going to, and will try the Geforce Ti4200 again to see if it still works.
Is there a driver set that was stable with the 4200? Am doing the reverse 'operation' tonight or tomorrow and could use the help, thank you!

System
Lian Li Mid tower
Antec 350 watt PSU
GA 7VRXP Mb
Athlon 1900 XP
512 MB corsair
SGI 9.5x14 widescreen (cost more that 3x my system!)
Thanks!

Looking to move up to an MSI KN8 Neo4 Plat, with the 939 Athlon64..

I always liked the 44.03 version IIRC. But it's been a while since I used my ti4200. Don't know how it would work with current games. I think the last game I played with it was Star Wars KoTOR, or the Jedi Outcast thingy with Kyle Katarn as the main character

Thank! It'll be tough going back to Ti4200 after this X700, but with the athlon 1900 and the multitude of other stuff loaded in backround, it isn't moving as fast anyway.

Hopefully I can decide betwixt the 745, or the 939 MB (MSI or ?) get it ordered and an athlon 64 and go from there.

I see you're a platinum member. This has been a VERY interesting forum to peruse! LOTS of knowledgeable people.

Thank you,
