I'm trying to sort out an issue for a customer, who has Win7 Ultimate on a Dell XPS, with a 4800 series card.
It says the driver version is 8.92, and Catalyst version 11.12.
Catalyst keeps prompting the user to upgrade to version 13, but when we did it went very strange- Windows dialogs corrupted, including large black areas where images should be and some invisible text (this included version 13 itself!)
It's hard to know what to make of a dialog with three unlabelled buttons to choose from!
Various comments in here suggest that anything after 12.4 doesn't contain anything new for the 4800... not sure what to do. We had to do a system restore after the last one, to get a working driver back, so reluctant to try 13 again. Or is this a sign of a hardware problem?
