Hey here are my 2 options

1) Buy a AMD x2-3800 and the new asrock(agp&pci slot) motherboard and keep my BFG 6800 gt

2) Buy AMD x2-3800 and a Asus a8n sli mobo and get a cheap video card($100.00 or less)

I dont really play games just video encoding and internet surfing

You don't need to overclock and that video card is already overkill for what you do.

My suggestion is get the X2 3800+ and nothing else.

The first option. If you dont game that much SLI will do nothing for you, and you will be downgrading your video card for no reason.

Hey PKing only reason i put the sli is because that board has firewire(i can you the front firewire port on my Gaming bomb 2 case)

Ahh, should've read closer. The first option then, since I believe it involves you keeping your existing video card; you're not doing anything that justifies SLI, and there are plenty of non-SLI boards that have Firewire.

If you still want to spend that money, send it to me.
