Ok, so i've had it with Sprint and my contract runs up in a month.

My only requirements is that the phone supports bluetooth.

I used to be on T-Mobile but left to get PCS-PCS calling since my fiancee had sprint as well. Now that we live togeather there is no need for it, so im switching back possibly.

Who do you like, T-Mobile or AT&T? It seems like T-Mobile has been slow to introduce new phones lately, one every once in a while. AT&T has a nice selection, but i dunno about their coverage in FL.

What do ya think?

I transferred from ATTWS to Verizon and I regret it.
I cant get a damn signal inside my house, while my gf who has ATT can!

Verizon has these surcharges which I am not fond off. Never ever sign a two year contract.
I gotta wait til next May to switch!

Huh? Do you mean from ATT to Verizon?

general concensus from the dealers/agents in So Cal is that ATT GSM sucks big time.
but I do take with a grain of salt probably because ATT give them less commission (similarly, they all pimp T-mobile over Cingular and others, which is probably because T-mobile gives them more commission.)

anyway, I have no complaint and problem using T-mobile.

here is the real scoop if you want gsm.

ATT has an agreement with Tmobile to be able to use all their towers (At least here in MI, I assume its nationwide.)

I just drove 250 miles roundtrip yesterday and didnt lose signal once. I wasnt exactly in well poulated areas either. Town like White Pigeon, MI, Constantine, MI, Sturgis, MI, and Howe, IN arent known for having the best coverage, but I didnt have a problem.

FVCK ATTWS!!!

I waited 45mins on average to speak to a cust rep. too pissed off that I paid the early termination fee to finish the contract with them. I am happy to be with tmo now.

at&t is bad

why do you want gsm though

cdma/pcs coverage is better I think

Verizon and/or Sprint offer some phones with Bluetooth, Infact I believe Motorola is launching a phone pretty soon (might have been launched in Japan already) which supports CDMA/GSM (quad band gsm), so a truly world phone

I have a Motoroal v600, the only reason i bought it is, its convenient to use it when I go India, we don't have CDMA networks there,

hum, in So Cal, T Mobile initially rent Cingular's towers. So T Mobile is practically Cingular in most So Cal area.

I dropped 6 calls today alone on Sprint. I've gone through 4 different phones with them, all Sanyo's (which supposedly have some of the best signals), yet I constantly drop calls. My dad on the east coast of FL drops calls all the time and while were talking the signal consistently fades in and out (we sound like robots).

I had no such problems on T-Mobile.

oh ok, I was talking on a average

I guess you should pick the carrier which is best for your area.

I have used At&t extensively in Southern California and Chicago area and I am not very impressed with it.
