Which do/did you prefer? Work or school?

now that im out of school i miss it. But I didnt inherite a multi-million dollar fortune and I gotta pay bills so I say work.

which aspect of school? i mean are we talking the drama of highschool, the studying of college, the drunkeness of freshman year?

that and its clear you need some schoolin...we dont need no results...we got a button for em buddy 😛

reallly depends

probably for most technical majors, work > school

for liberal arts major, where u basically party all day, school > work

School.
I enjoy research and learning.

Oh and there is that added bonus of no responsibility. Don't want to go to class? Feel like sleeping in? Go for it. Do that at a faceless company? Your ass is fired.

I enjoyed the life style I had when I was in school. But I do not miss:
1. Going to classes
2. Taking exams
3. Writing papers
4. Dealing with professors and admistration who never realized I was their customer and teaching clearly and making processes simple and easy was their job.
5. Being broke all the time.

Work:
1. I get steady paycheck.
2. Most of the time I am treated with respect.
3. When I include, time commuting, getting ready for work, thinking about work, and actual time at work it sucks up 50 to 60 hours a week.

When I was in college I was working full-time, so it's hard to miss it. It was just an extra burden on me. Just having to worry about work now makes my life easier. Nothing sucks worse than leaving a long day at work, then sitting through one or two boring classes, then coming home to do homework. Then waking at 6:15am the next morning to go to work again.

hard to say.

work is a lot more stress free, requires less actual effort, doesn't usually follow me home after I clock out, and involves a paycheck.

I really liked school, though. I like learning new things, I like getting into discussions about intellectual topics, and I was really good at it.

I'd say school just because it was on the whole more interesting. I've worked professionally about 10 yrs now and you do get into rutine after you learn what needs to be learned. Sure money is nice but face it 95% of us would'nt go to work if we wer'nt paid to. I'm not so sure school would have those same high numbers of attrition desire.
