Which DM Shooter to Buy?

I just had an extreme sudden urge to play a really good Death Match Game. I was initally thinking Quake because I had heard the Quake series is the best FPS DM series around. If you were looking to buy a Quake game for Dm which would you buy today?

Also what about UT? I heard UT3 blew noodles. Is UT2004 worth picking up?

If you want to spend money, I suggest the unreal package off of steam. My personal favorite is the Unreal Tournament 3 Black.

Or, play quake live for now, and wait for the unreal package to go on sale on steam.

If you want another tip, start saving your money for the Steam Christmas - New Year sale. I bought the unreal package a couple of years ago for around $13, and the complete id package for around $22 during the christmas - new year sale.

I usually spend close to $100 on game packs for my self and my kids.
