so me and my gf will be staying in orlando for only 1 whole day as a part of our trip. I want her to atleast try 1 of the disney parks. Which one do you guys recommend?

She is not really a roller coaster person, and she is more into seeing pretty things and walking around looking at stuff.

I think maybe magic kingdom...but what do you guys think?

Or should I just not go to disney and do something else instead?

If that's what she wants then Magic Kingdom is best.

hmmmmmmm...going down there again in 6 weeks...yippppieeeeeee ;)

Never been to magic kingdom (its more for kids)...but Epcot was a BLAST !!!!! I dont usually like rides either..but the rides they had there were al really, really nice...not the 'roller coaster' type rides - well, if you haven't been at Epcot: GO !!! Dont msis all the different countries and the firework at night !!

Other thing..Bush gardens Tampa..... NIIIIIIIIIIICCCCEEEEE !! Lots of rides....but stranegely when we were there we didnt go at any ride (except trains and teh cable cars....greatttttt).....was a blast too !!!

Then...there's Seaworld which we're going this year.... (never been there)...and a TOTALLY cool secret tip which not many know about is:
"Sarasota Jungle Gardens"..well....in Sarasota. If you like a smaller zoo w/ pets and flamingos which all are running around freely...and walk thru like a jungle....have to go there !!! Very neat !!! It's not as impressive as something like epcot....its a smaller garden/zoo.....but still nice like as an addition

That's got EPCOT written all over it.
EPCOT is my favorite park, although it's not heavily "ride" oriented. Highlights: World Showcase, Mission Space, Test Track, just fun to explore.

yea, looking at the disney site, I think epcot might be good for her.

btw, how much is a single day ticket to one park? the ones I see are 54 dollars. Now is that with park hopping, or is that for one park?

kind of crazy.....54 dollars per ticket right?

if that is the real price, I might need to opt for something else....:(

no park hopping...we thought that too.....but (AGFAIK) you can only park hop with the 2/3 day tickets. The one day tickets dont allow park hopping. And..believe me you need ONE day for Epcot anyway......

speaking of Epcot, what was the name of that little animatronic dragon in the big giant ball... was it "Fig" or something.. he was a figment of your imagination if i remember correctly, but it's been driving me nuts trying to remember his name (i have no clue why)

Sing with me now (at least all those that have been to epcot)
Imagination....
Imagination..

Universal Islands of Adcenture is sooooo much better than Disney. They have a couple rollercosters, but there is a ton of other stuff to do. Check out citywalk in front of the park also.

I dunno if I'd say it's better than Disney, but Islands Of Adventure is a lot of fun. Highly recommended, but it is a lot more rides and a lot less exploration.

The Magic Kingdom is neat to see, but it's always chock full of screaming brats in strollers. I usually breeze through it to get on the "must-do" rides like Space Mountain, Carousel of Progress, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Alien Encounter and then just get the hell out there before I get anymore bruises on the back of my ankles from getting hit by strollers.

Animal Kindom's shorter operating hours might leave you feeling slighted, but it is a close second to EPCOT in terms of exploring and seeing cool things.

I have been to Disney World many many times and would highly recommend EPCOT. It has always been one of my favorites!
