Once again I come to forums for some help.

I am looking to buy one of those portable discmans that can play mp3 encoded CD's too!

But here's the catch:-
It definitely must be able to show me the name of the song currently being played. (ID3 tags)
And also must be able to play 128+Kbps encoded MP3's.

So... any suggestions? Planning on getting this as a christmas present for a friend.

Sweetness,
Mer.

I had a post previous today about MP3/CD players. I would go for RioVolt SP250, its has fm stereo and is upgradeable to new audio formats as well as improving the player itself.

The RioVolt is nice... is that an all new one or just a slightly modded version of the previous one.
Also, a lot of people like the TDK Mojo since it had better performance out of the box than the RioVolt and better methods for MP3 management/selection. Can't go wrong either way... both get the job done well. The Mojo definitely isn't cool-looking as the RioVolt though! =\
