I have a friend in the market for a new PC. He currently has a Gateway that is about seven years old that he would like to replace. Normally I would point him to Dell, but his son had a bad experience with their technical support recently, so he would like to go with something else. His biggest concern is having the ability to take the PC in to a B&M for service if needed.
My experience with pre-built systems lies with business PCs, so I'm kind of at a loss...
Which brand should I recommend to him?

Some prevalent B&Ms local to my friend are Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA. FWIW, he's looking to spend about $2,500 for the entire system (PC, display, and AIO printer).
