which Dell laptop for media center

A co-worker is looking to buy a dell laptop to use as a media center. I'm a PC gamer so all this laptop/media center stuff is greek to me...

Anyway, he wants to use it to primarily to stream audio and as a DVR (to record digital cable TV onto the hard drive). He's looking at the either the XPS M140 or the Inspiron E1705 (dual core). Are any of these things even possible with either of these laptops? He's getting a Dell TV tuner card added to whatever laptop he gets, but I'm not sure it will do the DVR thing like he expects it to.

Help please!

Get the Inspiron E1705. Dual Core will help with HD decoding. Just configure it with Windows Media Center edition and a TV tuner and you should be set to go. (make sure you get at LEAST 1GB of ram too).
