Which Deadliest Catch captain and boat would you sail on?

Ok, its been some years and we have gotten to know the captains, crews and boats.
I listed the ones that have been on the most.
Which one would you choose to fish on?

Edit: Will forward results with comments to the actual Captains!

I'd go for the Northwestern. As long as you work your ass off things don't seem too bad. If I can keep my mouth shut and not complain things will be great.

NOrthwestern. Wasn't their payout something like $50k for just the King Crab season? They are probably one of the highest paid boats on that show.

Time Bandit.

The Northwestern would be my second choice if Sig wasn't such a dick 24/7/365.

Interesting. I hadn't considered the payouts. I figured all the crews make some good money. I would just want to come back alive without too much rinky dink.

Time Bandit would be my first choice. Northwestern and Cornelia Marie would be in the running. Edgar Hansen seems like a decent guy if you work hard. I wouldn't want to bite the head off of the herring, though. My only concern with the Cornelia Marie would be getting out to sea and Phil kicking the bucket. I think I could deal with the people on all 3 boats.

There is no way I would ever willingly be stuck on the same boat as Monte Colburn. Keith seems OK, but I'd probably take a swing at Monte within the first week.

One for Capn' Phil!

I'll take the Time Bandit.
Capt Keith on the Wizard is an attention whore, cry baby. I wouldn't want to be any where near him.

I don't think I have ever seen a scene where that walking corspe wasn't smoking a cigarette.

Yeah, Phil seems determined to keep on smokin'

Almost everyone on the show seems to smoke, even Phil's kids.

Maybe they're going to create a spin off called The Deadliest Carcinoma or something.

Seriously, I have to wonder if any of the guys are taking stimulants.

None of those.

The Sea Star, where the seasoned crabbers fished, might be more my pace.

It'd still kill me but at a much slower rate.

Yeah, I remember them. The grandpa boat.
I wondered what happened to them.
I guess they are now in the tourist biz.

Supposedly/allegedly, they are all on meth.

I believe it. How else would your body crank out a 30-40 hour shift without any sleep?

I'd go with Sig, he seems to be a straight shooter, you know where you stand. That, and he finds the crab every year and they seem to rake in the cash.

If I remember correctly though, the Cornelia Marie crew made the most money this past King Crab season..... around $54,000 per hand. That's some serious money for a few weeks of (brutal) work.

I remember that time when Capt Jonathan Hillstrand saved a deckhand from one of the other fishing boats a couple of seasons ago. Right after then, they've been producing very good numbers until now.

tough decision.... which one doesn't smoke like a chimney, down 24 Red Bulls a day, have health issues, and maybe brushes his teeth daily?

Definitely Time Bandit. They seem like OK guys and know how to make the mo-nay. Who wouldn't want to be on the boat that finishes early so they all get to go to fishing in Mexico?

Definitely NOT the Wizard.

Not sure how long I'd survive though. I think I'd be hallucinating after working 30-40h straight and I wouldn't want to start any nasty habits to try to get through it. I suppose if you grow up in some craphole Alaska town there's probably not a lot else going on though.

So do the crews get any cash for being on the show, or just the boat owners?

I honestly don't. You don't see them grinding their teeth and they seem to be able to "pass out" in a heartbeat. That's nothing like any of the speeders I've ever known.

I'm sure there's substance use on some of those boats but I'll bet the producers looked for "clean" boats before they even started the series.
