I have finally ordered my IS7-E and P4 2.4C processor and need a recommendation as to what ram to get. I will be overclocking this new setup but don't have very deep pockets (I will get 512mb). I haven't bought any ram for a long time so really don't know what brands are good values and are of good quality for overclocking. Thanks.

Personally, I would go with OCZ DDR PC-3200 Rev.2 from Newegg for $60 per 256 MB stick shipped. Its listed as a Back To School Special.

I use this memory in an Nforce2 board I have and it performs great. Its CL2 and also has copper heatspreaders that look nice in a windowed case.

You may also want to check out Best Buy, they are currently selling Kingston HyperX 512mb PC3500 for $131 per stick with a $12 rebate.
OC's pretty good and has timings of 2,3,3,7 ( CAS 2 ) at 434 MHz

ALso, many good things have been said about the Buffalo PC3200. Looking at buying myself. Price is $89 shipped from Newegg for one 512 stick. IMO, you are better off getting one 512 MB stick now, forgoing the Dual Channel boost until you want to add another 512MB. Dual Channel won't get you much in line of performance (3-5% mebbe), and you will limit your memory upgrade options for the future. I would seriously opt for one stick of 512.
