Darn, I had wrong info on motherboards and thought the Epox 8KTA is DDR compatible and 266FSB. What do some of you recommend for a good mobo? Should I stick with the Epox?

This is the rig I've come up with.

Case: Lian Li PC60 ($179@newegg.com)
PSU: Enermax 350W (~$50)
CPU: ???
HSF: Taisol CGK60092 ($36@plycon.com)
Motherboard: ???
Video Card: Geforce3 (~$350)
Ram:2X256 Crucial DDR PC2100 ($124@crucial.com)
Harddrive: IBM 60GXP 40GB ($126@newegg.com)

Here's what I'm transferring:

Pioneer 16x DVD
Plextor 12x/10x/32x
SBLive! (should I change this?)
2 network cards (I use the old method instead of a router)

My questions:

This is mainly for gaming, with a little of Photoshop on the side.

Am I right in saying that Raid will not help gaming?
I'll be overclocking, so should what CPU speed should I go for, I'd like to reach 1.4, or should I just get a 1.33 and not O/C?
Any other suggestions, changes, prices, and websites would be appreciated.

At the end this system would come to about $1200, a bit much, but this should cure my upgrade bug.

That's something I might consider since it's $200 cheaper. Do you have any suggestions on the motherboard?

MSI K7 Tubro Pro 2668 DDR

MICROSTAR rules for AMD. You can even put AMD 1.7 ghz or above (stated in the manual).

I bought for 156 (including tax and handling).

I'd get the FIC AD11 mobo if I was you.

There only $114 bucks at newegg.com

Also it is the fastest DDR mobo out there to date.

Whoops, looks like I got off by a letter. The Epox 8K7A is the DDR motherboard with the AMD 760. The Epox 8KTA is the SDR motherboard with the Via KT133A. Boy, that's what I get for not drinking any coffee this morning! ;)

Sorry about the mixup. I'll edit my original post.

I am pretty happy with my Iwill KA266-R, only had one problem with it, you gotta push the ram in really well, other than that, its been good.
