Which DCs offer a real CLI version?

I'm looking for a new project for my PC "armada" but I don't like any graphics or other stuff client showing on my desktops ... just a plain DOS CLI windows with some basic info about wha't going on. I know that SETI, DPAD and LM offer that.

Any other DCs with a "real" CLI client??

Thx

Christian

You can run most of them as a service with nothin showing using firedeamon. I'm currently running both TSC and d2ol as a service using firedeamon and the only way you can tell it's running is in taskmanager.

 ... guys, it's not about hiding anything. These are my very own PCs. I'm just not a big friend of gfx stuff (like the SETI GUI). 🙂

@ Unforgiven: But Stephen doesn't! 😉

@ MDE: How many WUs can I store with F@H? These machines are on the i-net like once a week.

SB's "GUI" is VERY basic, no fancy graphics, just a couple of values and progress bars. Of course, it also has MathGuy's wonderful service installer so you will never see the clients 🙂 There is also ken_g6's SBQueue program for caching/proxying SB units 🙂

lol...Not for hiding...Just so you don't see no graphix 😉

D2OL can cache 2000 tasks.

You can right click the system tray icon to bring up a dialog box to flush the results and reload the cache.

MDE: I thought that by chosing GAH you could cache 8 WUs (Timeless WUs)

D2OL can also be ran with the file:controller option which hides it just fine. 😛

They killed the G@H part of it, so it's a no-go.

I've only been doing DC for 2 months and still feel unsure on some things, but I should have stated with more confidence that you CAN cache 8 folding@home WUs. Presently they are 44 point Timeless Gromacs, which would keep a slower computer busy for a week. They are full pointed WUs that contribute to the research of finding a cure for Alzheimers, Parkinsons, ALS and other diseases that many of us could end up with as we grow older.

/...GLeeM personality #2 says: I don't get older .../ 🙂

G@H is over, but if you select GAH as your preference and batch networking you can cache 8 folding@home WUs!

Sorry for the confusion BMC 🙂

md5crk has a real CLI and does not cache or download anything. It will crunch away until you tell it to upload or it reaches 200 (400, 600, 800, etc) and can dump the results. It's also small enough that every bit helps, but I refrain from posting too much about it because I don't want to take away workers on other projects. 😉

You can cache work units with lifemapper, and I think there is a CLI for it.
