Which credit card was it that let you return stuff if retailer refuses it?

This card was on commercial some time ago. If within 30 or 90 days, the vendor refuses to accept your returns, they'll give you credit for it.

I am stuck with a text book I am not going to use. I bought it, because it was said to be "required". I went to a few sessions of class and we never used the book. I asked the people in that dept if we are going to use the book and I was told "yes you need the book" on the last day I can return the book. Ok, I show up at my next class session and instructor tells me we're not going to use the book.

Took the book back to bookstore and they tell me that dept had them order custom publication and they're stuck with tons of this book from people who returned on time, so they didn't take it back.

The instructor or department decided to play a game that book was required and after they've got our money, they tell us we can't return it.

AFAIK only Amex offers return protection.

thx. I just read the policy and "books of any kind" are considered exception from this policy.

f_ck the bookstore :| I'm sure I'm not the only one who was misled into buying books as "required" even if the department changed their mind and decided not to use it so they can get rid of their inventory.

i rememebr having a class liek that with a 'required' book we never used, i was going to try and return it until another student said she had already tried and told em to look at who the author was......turns out it was the professer...thats how he sold his damn books..

Maybe I should write the school paper about how they're profiting by screwing students over.
