So far, this is what I know...

Visa - Accepted almost anywhere, but not much to offer

American Express - Gives you 2% back at the end, but not many places accept it.

What about other cards? Thanks!

Fleet has a cash rebate VISA. 2% cash back ($500 rebate limit) with no annual fee. You can xfer from your checking acct online, but no autopay full balance like my Chase VISA.

Kenji,

Whatever you choose take rbloedow's suggestion and set a low limit. Pay it off each month and don't go wild with you're new buying power. Take it from me, it's better to wait until you can afford to pay it off than to be in continuous debt.

if yes, get a Worldperks Visa card, you get frequent flyer miles for every dollar spent.

You sir are very wise. Credit Union + low limit, I wish I had that ability when I was 16.
