I bought a Taisol CGK742092 because it is queiter than my vantec. I didn't know when i bought it, that it was only recomended up too xp2100 , but i want a xp2200 t-bred. will it be alright if i use that fan on a 2200?? i thought t-bred's ran cooler??

Yes, you are correct that the t-bred runs cooler than the xp2100+. And here's some Proof. Less power consumption means less heat produced. It's not much of a difference but at its worst, the xp2200 t-bred will produce the same amount of heat as the xp2100+ so you should be ok.

Yep, they should produce about the same amount of heat. The new "B" step Thoroughbreds appear to have lower power consumption, but the 2200+ is very close to the 2100+ and 2000+ in heat production.

Edit: oh yeah and ShyambaJuice, I gotta give you some props for the link - great linky for the guy with a very nice comparaison done at Tom's!

Well that graph could easily be missunderstood. Sure the 2200+ uses less power, but the core is smaller so that heat has less area to leave from. So in effect the cores would actually be closer together then one would think. I'm actually not sure which would run hotter.
