Which Cpu Create more Heat and Which one is Faster

I have a 3.4EE with air cooling, under 100% load for hours and hours (Rosetta) it only gets to 39°C (by Asus Probe). IMO, I'd go for the EE processor, plus it has a 2MB L3 cache and the more efficient Northwood underpinnings.
