well guys i wanna upgrade , and these are the following choices i have :

1) Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 with MSI P965 Neo-F
OR
2) AMD AM2 4000+ X2 with Asus M2N-E

other parts , include 7600GS , 1GB DDR2 667 , 80GB SATA2 , and Combo Driver .

rite now i have a Intel Pentium4 630 with Intel 945GTPL .
for my cooling i have a Asus VR-guard CPU Cooler .

dont want to overclock to the extreme level , just a little for showing off benchmarks .

Peace & ciao !!!

Well, the Asus motherboard is better while the C2D is a better CPU. Can you possibly get a Gigabyte DS3 for the C2D chip? It would be a more solid choice IMO.

...the m2n-e has so many major problems... the common memory problem, 1.9v, then there is the 4 step memory ocing (they advertise 15 step) and there is also no ocing ability overall. Random reboots and non ability to start up have plagued this board. Read it's thread in the MoBo forum. I'd suggest the MSI k9n platinum. Less problems.
Also: get the 3800+ or the 4200+ depending if you're ocing or not, the 1mb versions are not a good value.
