Hello everyone.
Been thinking about the next rig I'm gonna' build for myself. I'm pretty much gonna' stick with AMD since it's what I know best (comfort level), plus they are better price/proformance wise. So, having said that, I have a quandry: What CPU/Motherboard combo would you buy/wait for?
I'm talking Thoroughbred, Barton or Hammer for CPU's and nForce 2, VIA or even ATI's chipset (anyone have info on that thing?) for possible chipsets. My only concern is doing a bit of overkill if I go with a Hammer-type chip. The system will mostly be used for high-end gaming and multi-media work, and I won't be building 'till November/December.
Currently, I am running a Soyo DRAGON Plus with an AMD Athlon XP-2000+ cpu.
Thanks for any info or suggestions.
