Probably means that you'll still have a chance of being infected, since the vaccines are not 100% effective.

Just saw this, testing indicates 100% effective in adolescence testing.

Appears we the US still know what we are doing and backed the right horses.

I get my second Pfizer shot next Saturday. That's a good thing because I just had hip surgery last Friday and my mobility is shite right now.

I only felt cold and chilly for a few hours after my initial dose. No injection site pain was detected so hopefully the second shot goes the same or better.

I hear the second shot is often worse. I assume because your immune system is primed and ready to attack, but WTF do I know.

I got my first Pfizer dose on Sunday. Slightly sore arm that night but only when I slept on that side was it even noticeable.

For some yes for some no it's kind of a crap-shoot from the people I've spoke with about it plus reports on here.

I felt like crap for around 36 hours plus my energy levels and appetite are at +/- 90% or so from shot #1. (Moderna @ local CVS) Quite a few seem to get nothing or close to it though.

No idea if a reaction to #1 is good or bad news for #2 on Monday although I've seen speculation all over the map.

I will get Pfizer within a few days, will report back shortly if there are any problems.

Got my Pfizer first dose earlier today and so far so good. No soreness, nothing bad...yet.

Looking down....nope, nothing here. So guys that want to get the buy one get one free effect of Viagra, no go there. :D

probably wont see too many more votes for J&J in the poll at least for a while:

Bummer.
We have a few holdouts at work that will only take the J&J vaccine(if any). It's not even available here yet anyway as far as i've heard. This won't help.

Moderna #1 yesterday.
Sore arm (little more than a typical flu vaccine, anyway) and had some symptoms overnight like chills, fever, aches, etc. but already feeling much better this morning.

It is 24 hours after the shot and so far so good. I am still normal and not a mutant yet. :D

The whole body is still normal, the needle area is a bit tender but not bad at all.

My brother said he got really sick after the second Moderna shot. He had to take a week from work because he had a high fever.

In his mind, Pfizer is the premium vaccine compared to Moderna. I wanted to tell him BS, but I let him bask in his ignorance.

GET whatever vaccine you can get to keep you out of the hospital please people. I beg you.

Having dealt with both companies in the past I think Pfizer is the better run organization personally, however internal politics aside the shots are nearly identical in terms of the immunity produced which is all that really matters.

Also whatever the side-effects they won't be nearly as bad as getting Covid! Having said that, I have a bottle of Benadryl and a bunch of canned chicken soup on standby just in case!

My ex-wifes toes were ALWAYS cold ... no vaccine required! :p

(much like her heart!)

I got Moderna shot #2 yesterday. I didn't even feel the shot, but had a little tingling while waiting the 15 minute post-shot period.

By last night, my arm was pretty sore and is again this morning. It's crazy that such a small needle/shot ends up having that delayed reaction. It's likely what's fueling people to not get vaccinated.....which is pretty silly.

I had some pretty sharp pains in my chest where my ribcage starts last night, but it's gone away as I've moved around today. It's tough finding Moderna-specific side effects. Most everyone I know got Pfizer.

Both my wife and I got the Moderna. She got hers in Jan/Feb; I just got my first dose this past Monday (4/5). For me, no real side effects other than my upper arm feeling a little bruised if I touch it. My wife was about the same with her first dose, and mentioned that she was a little extra tired the following day. Wife's second dose was a little worse; the day after the shot she felt run down and feverish (on and off). She slept a lot of the day away. Two days after the shot she felt mostly back to normal again.
