Just got my Pfizer shot this morning (#1). Nothing but very slight soreness so far. Biggest thing I'm nervous about are the accounts of worsening tinnitus due to COVID / vaccine. I've had it for almost a decade now (maybe more? don't remember) but it's mild enough where 90% of the time I forget I have it.

Read a study though that 6% of people reporting tinnitus symptoms ahead of time then reported an improvement post-vaccination. If only I get lucky...

~12hrs after my shot now and my arm is decently sore. I can keep my arm in a certain range without any real soreness but one step in the wrong direction and yowza.

I'm not sure if it was related to the vaccine (more specifically, my body working to build defenses), but my bout with seasonal allergies lasted a lot longer than normal this year. Normally I have a bad couple of days, but this year it was about 2 weeks. I got my first dose a day or so after my allergies kicked in, so the timing wasn't great.

Will have a second Pfizer shot in two days. Anyone had luck doing a walk in at CVS a day early? Appointment system is not allowing me to change the appointment day besides their specified range.

I looked into moving mine up (CVS/Moderna) and was offered exactly one day sooner so it's possible.

I didn't bother changing because it would have been 8:00 am on Easter Sunday vs noon on Monday.

Is there anything like a law that say I can;t get more than I am allowed? Not seeing it anywhere. I already got my two Pfizer shots, but I also got a work email today saying they are holding an event this Friday and was wondering if I could double-down.

Not sure if you're serious but just in case you are:

Yeah, you're probably not old liike this guy and its not the same day but who wants to put their immune system into maximum overdrive.
I would be thinking cytokine storm.

Just got a second shot. Young kid did the shot. Most painless shot received ever. It was done in less than 1 second.
Also got my second shot yesterday, completely painless. Woke up today and my shoulder feels like I let a professional boxer take a free shot, heh.

Just wait and don't jump to conclusions just yet...Facebook says the vaccine is definitely dangerous. :D

Well, it is 48 hours already from the last shot (2nd follow up of Pfizer) and it is still good here. No adverse reaction at all. I was a bit leery but I think I am free now. Still wearing mask and social distance as before.

I'm suggesting social media distance is what the anti-vaxers need. :p

I'm glad you're not having any reactions. Moderna just gave me a sore arm for a few days and severe headaches for about 4-5 hours on my second dose. It's worth it.

I've been wondering if those that read daily BS about bad reactions and/or are very nervous or afraid of the shot have worse reactions than those who want the shot and trust science and doctors.

My sister is constantly telling me horror stories about her facebook friends bad reactions yet I only had a half a day sore arm the next day for both shots and felt a bit run down half a day after the 2nd Pfizer dose. That could have been because I had a hefty drink the two beers the night I got the 2nd shot plus I hadn't slept well that week.

I have been sneezing and have running nose for the last hour. Spoke too soon? I don't do social media for news and health. If I want to see crazies, I would go to our own P&N.

This morning when i woke up I felt like being hit by a train. Couldn't get up until 30 mins ago because I was too damn hungry.

Hopefully will be ok by tomorrow.

Just got the Moderna shot a few hours ago. Arm has been getting progressively more sore since then. That's about it so far.

I wonder that too.
Some of the guys i work with were getting all riled up days before their 1st dose. "I hope i don't get sick, i hope i don't get a fever, i hope i don't get body aches", etc. Pain medications all ready to be taken the night before or the morning of.

I'm thinking to myself & told some of them... don't talk yourself into getting sick before you've had the shot.

The first shot should give you antibodies. You should get a reaction out of the second shot that was worse than the first, and the reaction should boost your immunity further. My wife told me not to take acetaminophen or Ibuprofen, so I put up with the bad headaches and slept through my reaction as much as I could.
