Thats what I thought, kind of thrown off by the fact that the better ram seems to be cheaper :)

Thanks

It's probably because the CL 2.5 is a big seller and they update the price every couple days. Nobody gets the CL 3 and they probably haven't even noticed that they haven't dropped the price on it in a long time.

I was going to pick up 1GB of this stuff as well. I was wondering...I would be putting it into a motherboard that supports Dual Channel memory...I see that Newegg specifies it as being dual channel but I don't see it anywhere on the corsair packaging or website. Does memory specifically have to be labeled Dual Channel in order for my motherboard to take advantage of it, or is it just that any 2 identical ddr sticks can take advantage of the dual channel support as long as the motherboard supports it? Thanks. 80 bucks sounds too good to pass up.

Get the 2.5 cas for $80, a good buy. It wasn't long ago that I bought the 2x256 kit for $80. Buying the kit, as these are, will ensure that the 2 sticks are the same. The serial numbers will be consecutive and it will be packaged in a single package. Buying individual sticks instead of a kit, puts you at risk of getting different chips on each stick.

Yep, I use 4 512meg sticks of this stuff on my main system. Great stuff! got em even cheaper at newegg last month than what they are selling for now, but it's still a great price.
