Which cooler of the 2?

The Thermoengine or the Alpha PEP66? Also how hard is it to mount the Thermoengine HSF with a clip like that?

Anandtech's most recent article has both of these mounted with the Delta 7000 RPM 38 cfm fan and they had the same performance. Both are good and I would say buy whichever one you can find for less money with that fan. I personally picked up the Alpha Pep66T with the Delta fan for $32 recently. I will say also that Vantec has a really good copper cooler that is at a good price. It's the CCK-6035D and from some reviews it looks like it outperforms either of the ones you mentioned with that same fan.

Toms Hardware recently also did an article on coolers and may offer additional information on other HSF's as well.

Good luck. I gave up and just ordered retail to get a HSF that came with the chip until I can sort out which one I want.

I prefer the PEP because it is more sexy... and that you can modify it to mount a second "intake" fan.

However, make sure that it will fit on your board before you buy it.

well, you can get the thermoengine with a 7k delta from the FS/FT forum for $25 shipped. great deal IMO. just do a search and you'll be able to find the seller.
