Which gamepad controller should I get for a pc to play console ports which are not suitable for mouse/keyboard? Xbox360/ps3 seem to be popular so which of the 2 has less hassle with drivers/input lag?
 
Wired Xbox 360 is the easiest of them all and works with every single game I have in Steam that states controller support
 
Wired 360 controller here too, worked out of the box with Windows 10 and every game I've tried so far. No reason to get anything else IMO. It's the standard. My only complaint is that the dpad can get a little slippery.

I have the wireless version of Xbox 360 controller (with the PC receiver). I also use NiMH AA. The wire would bother me.
