The standard xbox 360 wired controller made by microsoft is what most people use now.
Most of the games that have come out lately that are released on the console and pc are preset for the controller.

You can also go for the wireless one with the adapter (which will cost about $20-25 more over the wired). Definitely though, the 360 controller has probably the best support, and its a pretty good controller to boot.

Thanks,

What about the logitec rumble pad ? I'm leaning towards the xbox but someone also recommended the logitec.

How's the battery use for the wireless controller?

How long would duracell batteries last in that thing with the rumble on?

Don't know - i'm only considering a wired controller - not wireless.

I've given up trying the 360 wireless version on Vista 64 OS.
The MS's latest driver didn't do crap.
Does the wired version work on Vista 64?

Thats odd, cause mine worked flawlessly. Installed mine 2weeks ago using the drivers from MS.
