So which one is it?

with that said, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is awesome. Just got it and i'm waiting on UPS to drop off Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow.

wheres xbox 360? Although I have owned many systems before, the 400 dollar price tag, 60 dollar games, 50 dollar controllers, and 12 dollar rechargeable batteries add up pretty quickly..

Lets see how much I have spent.....
12 games @ 60 bucks = 720
Xbox 360 premium = 400
3 extra controllers = 150
2 rechargeable batteries and 2 play and charge kits = 60

and thats not even including tax....

ugh, i spend too much moolah on my 360.

N64 for time, PS2 for money (and a close run for time). I've spent too much time playing super smash bros and Zelda, but the Final Fantasies and DDR have racked up lots of hours as well. Most of my N64 games were birthday gifts, though.

Dreamcast, probably owned about 7 of em within the last year or two, and put ~$500 into various DC gear/games. Never had one before they'd been phased out of the market though.

Saturn.

Around $4000 I think. Spent couple thousand on my SNES too.

So hard. Time wise I'd have to say NES. I played the fvck out of my NES when I got it. Mario series, Contra and the Megaman series seriously sucked my life away... and I don't know how many times I rented LifeForce and Final Fantasy... I should have just bought those.

Time + Money... probably SNES. The NES was mostly a monetary investment by my parents. The SNES I bought myself along with most of my games. PSX comes in 3rd I guess.

SNES > NES > PSX

If the Wii has a good lineup though, I can easily see it coming in 2nd. Would be 1st if I were younger, but I don't have the time to waste playing video games like I did when I was 6 through... um... 18-ish. :D

:( God... my childhood... :(

but i think i bought the most games for N64.

and probably spent the most time now that i'm thinking about those 4-person deathmatches on Goldeneye, and me and girlfriend playing Zelda Ocarina of Time.

SNES probably. Back then it wasn't all that common and I refused to buy them because I was always worried about cartridges failing for some reason. Probably had 20+ games @$60-70 a pop, plus two systems, extra controllers, etc... $1500+.

My GameCube on the other hand, I have about 30 games @ ~$10 a pop used, $100 for the system plus whatever I spent on the extra controllers.

Xbox I paid $100 for with a few games and I've bought probably 10 games for ~$5-7 apiece.

Edit: Oh, time-wise SNES wins hands down.

Oh sh1t... how do I always forget about GoldenEye... that game was the sh1t. Even people who aren't serious gamers loved GE. I probably multiplayed that more than any other console game. I suppose considering that I invested a lot more time in N64 than PSX.

ill add the 360 .. didn't think it would rank up there in less than a year.

sadly, i always owned the "lesser of the consoles" genesis and dreamcast. I spent an assload of time playing NES, renting genesis games, borrowing snes cartridges, and playing my xbox.

It's a toss up between NES, SNES, and N64 for me. I voted SNES because it was the pinnacle of video gaming, but I have a pretty big library of games for all three.

The only I ever owned was the Gamecube, so I guess it wins by default. Until the Wii comes along :)

well most of my earlier systems were either funded by my parents and partly by me. Since the PS2/Xbox era has been when i fully fund my gaming addiction. I had a modded xbox, so I rarely ever spent money on it.

time wise though I would definitely choose N64. I played the crap out of goldeneye. I dont doubt i played that game for over 300 hours combined. Money wise would be 360.

Definitely my N64 for money, and a toss up between it and my Game Boy Pocket for time.

Got an N64 at I think $149, bought a controller as soon as I bought it along with the RF Unit, controller pak, then bought one of those 4x memory cards. Had 7 games for it too.

I spent all my money on Neo Geo games a few years back. They cost $150-300 a pop back when they were new, but that system is still a mean 2D monster of an arcade box.

PS2 moneywise, I've bought a lot of games. Timewise, it's a toss up between it and my GBC/GBA, I spent many many hours playing various pokemon games on the GBA. Great way to pass the time, no joke.
