Which Connection?

So I'm putting together my first computer build, and I've run into a stump. I'm using a MSI z77a-GD65 motherboard, which has an 8pin Power Connector.

My power supply is an XFX Pro850w, and has a 4/8-Pin ATX 12v/EPS 12v connector and a 8 Pin EPS 12v connector. As I read XFX's instructions, I should use the 4/8-Pin ATX 12v/EPS 12v connector, and NOT the 8 Pin EPS 12v connector, correct? I just want to make sure before I power things on for the first time. I'm relatively sure it's correct, I figured I'd just get some feedback.

and NOT the 8 Pin EPS 12v connector, correct? I just want to make sure before I power things on for the first time. you got it

The 4/8pin connector and EPS connector are exactly the same, you won't damage anything by using either or. The 4/8pin is just the ATX standard connector to feed the processor. EPS is a second 8 pin connector used for dual socket (processor) systems to feed the second processor. Other than the fact that EPS usually doesn't split in a 4/8 style they are exactly the same connector.
