2gb is way more of an issue than the processor. If you can't spring for the i3, then the Toshiba is still a better buy.

I'm more excited by the prospect of A57-based machines...

Mid range for the integrated graphics bump. Though the RAM and CPU (i3 vs Celeron) should help as well when you have multiple tabs and for future proofing.

For pure browsing the lower end wouldn't be bad, but 2GB of RAM is about the bare minimum I'd want for any OS to do any kind of limited multitasking. 4GB is definitely more reasonable, though, and should be ample for Chrome OS.
