I know that not all Geforces are created equal. With the TI-200 being so new, I have yet to find reviews on individual manufacturers' models. I want to know, what should I buy, the PNY, VisionTek, or another manu. thanks

Look for comparisons of several videocards. The reviewer will usually compare them based on more than just the performance but also image quality, driver quality/features, cooling, etc.

Try looking on Google.com for "GeForce3 Ti shoot-out" (shoot-out being the word most widely used when comparing several products of the same type 🙂)

Personally I like the Asus cards... they always get decent reviews.. when i read the V8200 review i was sold on that GF3. If i was going to upgrade that would be the one.

it overclocked very well and had great image quality and good cooling on the GPU and memory.. my V7700 GF2 GTS is a great card and i'd buy an Asus card again without question..

honorable mentions go to: Gainward, Hercules, Elsa and even some more i can't think of off hand ..

I think Asus cards are great also. I gots the V7700, not a single prob with it. I think I'll get the Gainward GeForce3 though 'cus it's a bit cheaper, and it's red! 🙂

According to a GeForce3 comparison here on Ananadtech a while ago, Asus and most other manufacturers had poor 2d quality rating. The only company that did well on that test was Gainward and their GeForce3 (available on NewEgg.com)

I would still look for reviews/comparisons before buying.

I am talking about the GF3 TI 200. Not a regular GF3. It is different. Look on Anandtech or Nvidia.com for the differences. There aren't many manufacturers right now.
