Which company was the first to offer 3 year warranty on LCD monitor?

Today, I just found out most of the LCD monitors from many companies now carry 3 year warranty! I haven't updated myself with the industry for a while, so it was a fairly surprise (good one) to me. I have been thinking it's still usual 1 year warranty.

And then I suddenly became curious of which company started this trend and when. Can someone who have kept track of the industry let me know? I couldn't find much info from Google regarding it.

Not sure myself but I know that HP is offering 1 year on their monitors which I find ridiculous. I was looking at their 27" IPS monitor until I found out about their crappy warranty.

I remember Viewsonic as a pretty big player in the early days of LCD monitors.

I know that ten years ago Eizo was already offering 5 year warranties.
