Which coffee maker should I get?

I'm crazy about espresso, so this is the machine for me; however, most people probably aren't that hardcore about pulling a perfect shot of espresso. If you really enjoy coffee, and if you really want a truly ethereal experience rather than the banal cup served by most places, invest in a good machine. Roasting and subsequently grinding your own beans will also inject a level of caffeinated transcendetalism into your daily routine.

Check CoffeeGeek to see how deep the rabbit hole of coffee enthusiasm goes. Anyone who feels all coffee is created equal is lacking in gustatory acuity.

Anyone else besides me get a line from Spaceballs stuck in his head after reading the question? 😕

As for the question, the Cuisinart looks like the better deal.
