OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or Box. Any others? I mainly upload videos. I find google drive really slow. 1GB took around 2 hours lmao

Just wondering. Thanks.

What is your internet subscription upload speed? Google drive is pretty fast for me (100/100 fiber).

Feeling a little stupid today, but if I did the math right, it should take you ~45 minutes to upload 1GB if you can sustain that speed the whole time.

Not bad.

TimeWarner caps me at 150 kilobytes per second.
Downstream is capped at 2 megabytes per second.

So....about 17Mbps down, 1.2Mbps up.
I'd also be looking at close to 2 hours for a 1GB file.

I don think it has anything to do with "which cloud" as much as your internet speed!

You'll be limited by your upload speed more than anything. Sucks that most ISPs always nerf upload though. I got lucky as we got fibre here a few years back so I get 50/30. But even then, the highest package is 250, and upload is still 30. Not sure why they can't just split it half and half. 30 is lightning fast compared to the 700k I used to get before though.

You know damn well why. The old mentality that you'll run a server and somehow bring stress on them for doing so. Want a business solution, buy it. But then Comcast does the same assymetric (double s intentional) on their business service, too.

Its the Age of Assholes.

Yeah I hate the whole "no server" stuff. An internet connection should be the same as buying blank paper from a paper company, what you actually use it for should be none of their business to control. Heck, they could monetize that, offer the option to buy IP blocks, static IPs etc... I should be allowed to actually host internet services out of my basement if I really want to, but it's demonized by ISPs. In fact my new fibre ISP does not seem to like the idea of anyone making money with their service, they will outright refuse to connect a business.

I can always max out my 10mbit upload speed to Google Drive. To Mega, very inconsistent upload speeds. Never stays substained at max speed. Will drop down to half max speed many times in upload.
