Can anyone suggest?

It depends heavily on what you'll use it for...if your into hardcore gaming, multi-monitor setups, or graphics work buy the fastest card you can afford, something in the ATi 58** series would be great. If your doing casual gaming, web, email and facebook type of stuff then any mid-level card should last a good long time, look towards the 57** Ati cards or any nVidia 275 series card. I tend to stay away from the low end cards for any use because I cant stand hardware that cant even do Flash animation without stuttering...

At what resolutions? An ATI 4830 would be fine with that CPU at 1440 x 900 but may be underpowerd at higher resolutions.

I would say a ATI 4800, 5700, or nV 275 series would be fine.

You don't need a $100+ video card for casual usage...

An appropriate card could range anywhere from a 4670 to a GTX285 - It's really no good way to judge what card you should buy

It is really the Monitor which you should match up your video card with. The cpu only plays a minor role...

So what resolution is your monitor? And what games are you planning on playing? If you game at all that is...

Totally vague question.

How about some details of: usage profile (apps/games), monitor res/game detail, power supply etc.
