There is nothing in Palo Alto and Mountain view except tech company buildings and. Palo Alto also has a really dangerous part of the city.

Have you actually been on University Ave? Its loaded with shops and restaurants. Palo Alto is very wealthy and has the commercial areas to go along with that. As far as East Palo Alto goes its a separate municipality and as long as you stay on the west side of 101 you don't have to worry about it.

Eugene if I could have found a job there. Its clean, nice weather, full of lazy hippies BUT, I've noticed that hippies are easy to get along with if you just wanna hang out.

No good for getting any work done though.

Lol...I hate compromises. :-\ Did you live in Carmel or La Jolla? I found both to be amazing.

I grew up in Eugene. Love it in the summer, but I'd hardly say it has nice weather for the other 9 months of the year. Contrary to popular belief, it's not the rain that sucks. It's the months and months of nonstop grey cloudy skies.

Thats easier on my eyes than sunshine. I like it.
Also, grass seems to grow pretty darn well considering theres no sunlight.

I would live somewhere near Whitefish or Kalispell Montana as long as I could get fast internet.
