Only in rural areas I think.

This gives you a much better selection of unlocked phones.

Whats your price range?

What in the world are you talking about? 850mhz is better than 1900mhz!! 850 works better because the freq can travel farther and penetrate better (such as a car stereo for ex: you can hear the bass from a distant car before you can hear the treble). Cingular phones don?t rely on 850mhz to work they can work fine in a 1900mhz only environment, they don?t need a 850mhz paging channel to sync with the 1900mhz as others have said. There are freq blocks that the FCC governs some areas Cingular was lucky enough to be an A or B band (850mhz) and other areas a 1900mhz PCS freq. hence the need for a phone that can do both 850 and 1900. You guys sure should read up on stuff before making foolish statements.
