You don't get a bad@$$ phone by going with branded phones.
Go to an Asian store, pick out something good: Nokia N80, SE K800, K790, W810/800/K750, blah blah blah
OH and anything but the RaZr. kthxbye.

I got cingular and I always get called failed alot and droped calls. T-mobile was better for me but they had problems wiht my phone and did not want to replace it b/c of some crap. but I would go to verison any day

The phone is over 7 months old. yOu don't need to wait for it to come. Go to an Asian store. It's been out forever. You don't want a branded phone, trust me.
Yup, i've had the w810i for quite a while now, Cingular will FINALLY get it probably around August, then everyone will have one.
Hopefully Cingular doesn't cripple the phone either.

The w810i dropped in price, it's only like $320 now + ship.

Get the nicest phone you can get for free with a decent priced short contract then buy whatever phone you really want. I signed up for t-mobile earlier this year b/c they had 1500 minutes for $40 with 1 year contract b/c sprint service was crap in my area. T-mobile seems to work well all over the southeast and Texas. With t-mobile you can put your sim card in any unlocked phone but with Cingular some won't work in all areas. I ditched Cingular several years ago b/c their customer service was crappy and coverage was skechy and friends who have cingular now say the same thing.
Whoever you go with check out plans and phones online from letstalk, wirefly, amazon etc... as they usually have better deals than the store.

i was just looking at the w600i and it has no expansion slot and only has 256mb BOOOOO!
I am thinking about the SLVR L7 now..it has 512mb miniSD with it, but the itunes can only hold 100 songs apparently no matter how big the card. Thats dissapointing cuz I was planning on buying like a 2GB card. Does anybody know how to hack it to let it hold more than 100 songs?

Why is that a reason not to get one?
If anything, that would tell me they are good phones.
Unless, of course, one is pathetic enough to believe what phone they have somehow creates an image for them and they need something no one else has to be "cool."

My wife and I just upgraded to the razr yesterday. She got the pink with matching bluetooth ear piece. I got the silver. I guess we are cool now.

Yeah really.
My wife just got one because that's what Cingular gave her. She could care less what the phone looks like.
